Mother's Day - A Great Family Day
To celebrate Mother's Day we went on a family hike in the Auburn Canyon on stagecoach to Flood trail. We brought a picnic lunch and enjoyed the view from the bench. We brought our new addition to the family, Enzo. He is a beautiful, but destructive yellow lab like Marley (from the movie Marley & Me)

Daddy Daughter 2009 Camping Trip - Angel Island
I would have had a hard time believing that we could have had a better time than we did for daddy daughter 2008 when we went to Yosemite. But I think we out did it with this trip to Muir Woods, Tiburon, Angel Island, ride across the Golden Gate Bridge and afternoon in San Francisco at Fisherman's Wharf.
This is all of the Daddys and Daughters packing up and heading out on the first morning.

The girls stop for a quick photo before we hike into the Muir Woods.

The girls all standing inside one of the massive redwood trees in the Muir Woods.

Emmelyn and McKenna sitting on top of the hollow log that all the girls had a ton of fun crawling through. This was right before they played with and kissed a banana slug.

Here we are hiking through one of the beautiful trails in the Muir Woods.

This is a photo of the girls having a blast in the sail boat that we got a personal ride on. Everyone had a blast and this was a real highlight of the trip even though it was due to us missing the ferry and us fortunately finding a nice gentlemen who offered to sail us over to Angel Island where we were planning to camp for the next couple nights.

Finally, we made it to Angel Island and hiked about a mile to our wilderness campground. What an adventure!

Here we are at dinner time...enjoying the beautiful scenery and peacefulness of Angel Island.

Here we are playing a fun game of cards in one of our 2 pound tents. It was a tight squeeze but was a ton of fun. This night we all took a midnight hike up to the peak of Angel Island for a 360 degree view. It was incredible!

Here comes the Sun! The girls all slept outside without a tent believe it or not. I was so impressed with them all as none of them complained and they all slept great.

Here we were playing on the beach and had a great time fooling around, relaxing, snacking and playing football. Even the girls played and they were amazing! Throwing and catching passes like all stars, especially Brooklyn. She caught some bullets from her Dad, Charles.

Can't wait for our next Daddy Daughter trip which already sounds like it might be another backpacking adventure but to the next level. These trips are some of the best times of my life and I am so thankful to be invited and experience them with our friends and my sweetpea McKenna. Love you sweetpea!
